ENILION Welfare Facilities, Tsotyli Kozani – Map

On Monday, March 10, the Mayor of Voio, Christos Zeuklis, and the representative of the company “Enilion Welfare Facilities of Tsotyli,” Nikos Tatsis, signed the lease agreements for the Tsotyli Nursing Home building, in order for this elegant facility to be used for its intended purpose. The lease duration is 25 years, with the aim of providing high-quality services to the elderly of the Municipality of Voio, Kozani, and the wider region of Western Macedonia. Mayor Christos Zeuklis described this development as particularly important, as it fulfills a long-standing request of the local community, with the Municipal Authority making every possible effort to achieve this result. According to the company’s representative, Nikos Tatsis, the facility is expected to begin operations within 5–6 months. Approximately 40 staff members of various specialties are expected to be hired, and in the first phase, around 70 elderly residents will be accommodated, with full capacity reaching 100–110 residents. The facility will provide medical care, daytime and residential services, physiotherapy, physical exercise, nutrition, and psychological support, as well as home care services.

Unit History

With great pleasure and a strong sense of responsibility, we will soon announce the opening of our new second model Elderly Care Facility in Tsotyli, Municipality of Voio, in the Kozani region.
In the coming period, we will complete all necessary construction works so that the facility can provide the highest possible standard of services.

The long-standing experience of Enilion, along with the operation of our existing model Elderly Care Facility in Nafpaktos—already running for several months under European standards—gives us confidence that the Tsotyli unit will set new benchmarks in elderly care across Northern Greece.

The facility we have created is designed to offer quality of life, absolute safety, attentive care, and genuine human warmth.
Our unit is housed in an exceptional 3,000 sq.m. building of distinct historical and moral value, constructed a few years ago with the purpose of operating as a nursing home by the benefactor Ilias Dourmousis.
Ilias Dourmousis was an important figure in the region, known for his strong sense of social contribution and solidarity.
Through his will and vision, he left behind a legacy of love, aspiring to create a place that would support and care for the elderly. His initiative serves as both inspiration and commitment for us to honor his vision with consistency and respect. The dedication and vision of benefactor Ilias Dourmousis, combined with the determination of Mayor Zeuklis and the Municipality of Voio, have made the completion and operation of this facility possible. Enilion is making a significant investment, completing the construction works and equipping the facility to the highest standards.

The creation of new jobs, the strengthening of the local economy, and high-standard elderly care are some of the key benefits for the wider region. Our new facility has been designed to offer:
• A safe and functional living environment
• 24/7 care by specialized staff
• Medical and nursing support
• Personalized nutrition plans
• Daily social and creative activities
• Occupational therapy
• Regular outings and off-site activities
• Open visiting hours
• Psychosocial support for residents and their families
• Day care center services
• Home care services
• Short-term stay options
• Rehabilitation and specialized therapies
• Geriatric tourism
Within the facility, there will be a chapel, multiple lounges and day areas, outdoor seating spaces in the gardens, dining areas, a café, large TVs with subscription channels, a cinema room, gyms, a library, state-of-the-art medical and nursing equipment, dedicated activity rooms, a swimming pool, and more.
Our goal is to create a warm community where every resident feels respected, families feel confident about their loved ones, and people experience dignity and meaningful care.

We believe that older age deserves the highest quality of life, love, and absolute respect. We would also like to emphasize that our philosophy is rooted in Christian values. Our residents will have the opportunity to attend religious services and will be supported spiritually as well.

With a deep sense of gratitude to the benefactor and full awareness of the responsibility we undertake, we are opening this new chapter of contribution to the local community, aiming for our facility to become a point of reference for Greece. A few words about Tsotyli: Tsotyli is a beautiful historic town in Western Macedonia, built amphitheatrically on the slopes of Mount Askio (Siniatsiko), at an altitude of approximately 850 meters. It is located close to Neapoli Kozani, Kozani, Kastoria, Grevena, Siatista, and Florina.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, it was an important commercial and intellectual center of the region, with flourishing activity and a strong presence of benefactors who supported education and social development.
A significant milestone in the town’s history was the founding of the Papageorgiou School by the national benefactor Georgios Papageorgiou, which established Tsotyli as a major educational center of Macedonia. During the Macedonian Struggle and the Balkan Wars, the area played an active role and was liberated in 1912.

Climate and Natural Environment:
Tsotyli is characterized by a mountainous continental climate. The clean atmosphere, rich vegetation, and the tranquility of the natural landscape create ideal living conditions, especially for those seeking peace and quality of life. The location of our facility, within this calm and healthy environment, enhances the sense of safety and well-being of our residents. The unit is built on the edge of the town, right next to the Health Center, offering easy access, a unique view, and various recreational areas such as parks, squares, and small groves around the facility.
